This was a huge success with my four-year-old on Christmas! HE loves playing this (for HOURS at a time) and I would highly recommend this to anyone with a Leapster.

we all like looking for I spy, the whole family works together on finding the items, and getting the maps pieces

My son got this game for Christmas. He has been playing it ever since. It is challenging enough that he has to periodically ask for help finding a clue, but can do most of it himself. It is already making a difference in spacial shape recognition. (Making pictures with shapes.)
He has played through one time already, and has moved on the the next challenge level. The riddles are more challenging.

We got this as the first game for my six-year-old daughter’s new Leapster 2. She wanted a DS, like her brothers have, but I thought she was too young for that. She likes the game, and I saw that she played it a lot when it was new, but I haven’t noticed her playing it that often lately. She prefers the drawing game that comes with the Leapster over this game. However, my three-year-old could play it for hours, even though it is above her level of understanding. From what I have seen, you are given a picture, and you are told to find certain items in the picture. You use the pen to pan around and select objects. There is also a game where you match items that rhyme or match items with their initial letter. Good learning activities, but there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of variety, though, and maybe that’s because my kids play the same level over and over. There are three levels to choose from. I got this item for a very good price, so it was worth it to me. I have not tried any other games, though, so I can’t give a comparative review.
