While I did not purchase this item to use for the purpose for which it was designed, it has become a very effective baby Hummingbird nursery. It has ample space for the Hummingbird to begin its initial flight and strengthen its wings.
I would suggest that the manufacturer might want to consider changing the color of the netting from green to black, which makes the netting become almost transparent and you will be able to observe the progress of the catepillars and butterflies much more clearly.

My son has been learning about butterflies in class so he wanted this for at home. We ordered the catapillers they took about 2 weeks to get. I think they were like 6 bucks. We have had them a few days and they grow so fast! Everytime I look in there cup they are bigger. Really cool for a boy or girl!

Very happy with this product from start to finish. You have to order the caterpillars for an additional cost of $[...], but we got them within 1 week from the time I mailed the check. Awesome! They stay in a sealed cup until they form their cocoons, at which time you pin the paper portion of the lid to the inside of the tent. Very easy! It took us less than 2 weeks to go from caterpillars to beautiful butterflies. Every day they woke up and ran to the tent to check on the status of their bugs. My kids enjoyed every step of the way. I definitely recommend this product. Fun and educational.
